Diagnosis & Treatment

Diagnosis
MG is diagnosed upon completion of medical and neurological evaluation by neurologist and followed by various tests.

Testing

  • Tensilon Test
  • AchR antibodies Test (blood test)
  • Electromyography Test (EMG Test)
  • Test of thymus gland

Treatments
  • Wearing dark glasses to deflect bright lights
  • Medication prescribed for MG patients
  • Eyelid crutches or eyelid surgery
  • Rest eye muscles
  • Use prism eye glasses (for double vision)
  • In general, symptoms improves with rest
  • Thymectomy (removal of thymus gland)
